If you were looking forward to a flagship phone from Nokia in 2021, then you may need to wait a little while longer. Twitter user Nokia anew has tweeted, “Some bad news. The Nokia 9.3 PureView won’t be unveiled this year. The announcement was postponed to the first half of 2021. The month is still unknown”.
So, it looks like the Nokia 9.3 PureView has been delayed yet again. The smartphone was delayed to the end of 2020 due to the pandemic and it now looks like we will see the flagship phone from Nokia in 2021. The Nokia 9.3 PureView was expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and it remains to be seen whether Nokia will continue with this chipset or move to the newer rumoured Snapdragon 875 chip pegged to launch soon.
The Nokia 9.3 PureView was expected to be a successor to the Nokia 9 PureView that launched back in 2019. The Nokia 9 PureView bright with it a 5.99-inch 18:9 P-OLED display with a 2K resolution and support for HDR. The highlighting feature of the smartphone was the 5-camera stack on the back. All 5 cameras have a 12MP resolution. Three of the five cameras have monochrome sensors and the other two are RGB sensors. While we wait for Nokia to dip its toes in the flagship space, Nokia has had a steady stream of smartphone launches in 2020. The company recently launched the Nokia 2.4 priced at Rs 10,399. The device sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 1600x720p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with 3GB RAM. It also offers 64GB of storage, which can be further expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card. When it comes to the camera, the smartphone has a dual-rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. A 4500mAh battery powers the entire package.
