Microsoft Teams will stop working for all users on IE11 from today onward

Microsoft announced earlier this year that Microsoft Teams, a popular video conferencing application, is all set to lose support and compatibility on Internet Explorer 11. The move is set in motion to urge users to shift to the new Chromium-based Edge browser.

Microsoft has also announced that from 17 August  2021, remaining Microsoft 365 services will also be discontinued on IE11. This announcement states that just after ending the support for the legacy Microsoft Edge browser on 9 March 2021, it would be applied to the Microsoft 365 services.

The company on its official blog post announced that users will have a degraded experience or won’t be able to connect to the Microsoft 365 services or apps.

“For degraded experiences, new Microsoft 365 features will not be available or certain features may cease to work when accessing the app or service via IE 11. While we know this change will be difficult for some customers, we believe that customers will get the most out of Microsoft 365 when using the new Microsoft Edge. We are committed to helping make this transition as smooth as possible.” was quoted by Microsoft on its blog.

Microsoft teams stop working on IE11

We can see that support for IE11 has been greatly decreasing and support for legacy-based edge browser is also in its last phase.

You can download the latest version of Microsoft Edge from here, it is now available for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, iOS, Android, and macOS. So even if you are using an older version of Windows, you would still be able to upgrade your browser experience and continue working with Microsoft apps.

First ever drone-delivered kidney is no worse for wear

Drone delivery really only seems practical for two things: take-out and organ transplants. Both are relatively light and also extremely time sensitive. Well, experiments in flying a kidney around Baltimore in a refrigerated box have yielded positive results — which also seems promising for getting your pad thai to you in good kit. The test flights were conducted by researchers at the University of Maryland there, led by surgeon Joseph Scalea. He has been frustrated in the past with the inflexibility of air delivery systems, and felt that drones represent an obvious solution to the last-mile problem. Scalea and his colleagues modified a DJI M600 drone to carry a refrigerated box payload, and also designed a wireless biosensor for monitoring the organ while in flight. After months of waiting, their study was assigned a kidney that was healthy enough for testing but not good enough for transplant. Once it landed in Baltimore, the team loaded it into the container and had it travel 14 ...
