FAU-G is up for pre-registration on Google Play Store

nCore games have announced that it has opened pre-registrations for FAU-G: Fearless and United Guards. Those interested can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store here. This development comes just a few days after Google effectively purged all fake FAU-G clones looking to cash in on the game’s hype. To recall, the game was announced by Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar. The developers released a trailer in October, where they promised to launch the game by the end of November. It is not yet known when exactly the game will be made available for download. Those who choose to pre-register can choose to be notified when the game will be available for download, or download the game automatically the moment it becomes available.

On the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, we are starting the pre-registrations of FAU-G: Fearless And United Guards. Pre-register and be the first to play the game. #FAUG #BeFearless Pre-registration link: https://ift.tt/37r6VLA @akshaykumar #happygurupurab

The appearance of the game on the Google Play Store also gives us a deeper understanding of what the game is going to be about. This includes the description of the game, its age rating as well as a screenshot in particular which seems to show the game’s main menu.

The game’s description is pretty much what we know already about the game's setting. It reads, “Join a special unit of FAU-G commandos on patrol in dangerous border territory. Come face-to-face with India’s enemies as you engage with hostile invaders on Indian soil. Fight for survival against the unforgiving terrain and the implacable enemy. Fill the shoes of a patriotic soldier and experience the bravery, brotherhood, and sacrifice of the men guarding the country’s borders.”

The FAU-G’s listing also confirms that it features in-game purchases. It should be noted that the company will be donating 20% of the net revenue generated to the Bharat Ke Veer Trust. Further, the game is listed for those who are at least 16-years-old.

Finally, the screenshot of the main menu also gives us a little insight into what the game will offer at launch. At the centre is presumably our in-game avatar, who is holding what seems to be an improvised axe that seems to be a part of a bicycle case attached to a bit of wood. This, combined with the other artwork, suggests that the game will not feature weapons and will have a focus on melee combat. Further, in the top right corner of the screen, we see two sets of in-game currency. We can speculate that one will be the free currency that players get for free, while the other is a premium currency that players will have to pay for. At the bottom left is the store where players will be able to make in-game purchases. At the top left, we can either see the player level status or the map selection screen, we don’t know for sure yet. At the bottom right is the button to start playing.

It should be noted that the minimum requirements for the game is not yet known as that section only notes that it varies for each device.

First ever drone-delivered kidney is no worse for wear

Drone delivery really only seems practical for two things: take-out and organ transplants. Both are relatively light and also extremely time sensitive. Well, experiments in flying a kidney around Baltimore in a refrigerated box have yielded positive results — which also seems promising for getting your pad thai to you in good kit. The test flights were conducted by researchers at the University of Maryland there, led by surgeon Joseph Scalea. He has been frustrated in the past with the inflexibility of air delivery systems, and felt that drones represent an obvious solution to the last-mile problem. Scalea and his colleagues modified a DJI M600 drone to carry a refrigerated box payload, and also designed a wireless biosensor for monitoring the organ while in flight. After months of waiting, their study was assigned a kidney that was healthy enough for testing but not good enough for transplant. Once it landed in Baltimore, the team loaded it into the container and had it travel 14

My product launch wishlist for Instagram, Twitter, Uber and more

‘Twas the night before Xmas, and all through the house, not a feature was stirring from the designer’s mouse . . . Not Twitter! Not Uber, Not Apple or Pinterest! On Facebook! On Snapchat! On Lyft or on Insta! . . . From the sidelines I ask you to flex your code’s might. Happy Xmas to all if you make these apps right. Instagram See More Like This – A button on feed posts that when tapped inserts a burst of similar posts before the timeline continues. Want to see more fashion, sunsets, selfies, food porn, pets, or Boomerangs? Instagram’s machine vision technology and metadata would gather them from people you follow and give you a dose. You shouldn’t have to work through search, hashtags, or the Explore page, nor permanently change your feed by following new accounts. Pinterest briefly had this feature (and should bring it back) but it’d work better on Insta. Web DMs  – Instagram’s messaging feature has become the defacto place for sharing memes and trash talk about people’s photo
